Bio

A double language honours graduate from King’s College London, I began my career at a Field Marketing Agency where I gained invaluable experience at the FMCG coal face. From here I moved on and up into Marketing Communications in the Docklands, entering a fascinating world at the forefront of newspaper and magazine printing software and early search engine technology. In 1996 I went Freelance and worked as a Marketing consultant for groups such as Cable & Wireless, Telewest (rebranded Virgin Media) and Deutsche Telecom.

After getting married and starting a family, next came a move to Southwest France and a house which stole my heart and which you will see in the background. Once settled into life there, renovating the house and having become expert at penetrating French bureaucracy, I decided to employ my skills to help floundering expats navigate the system, which was very rewarding.

I was contacted by a British holiday cottage rental company to help with translation and subsequently they asked me to develop the French side of the business, eventually taking full responsibility for their website (translation and redesign) as well as handling reservations and customer liaison.

I moved back to the UK after 10 wonderful years in France and still work from home for the holiday company and on a freelance basis for other clients.

I am highly experienced at home-working and delivering services remotely. I am very flexible with excellent inter-personal skills, I bring dedication, insight and attention to detail combined with excellent language skills and a high degree of professionalism.
